L-R: Peter Pilotto, Christopher Kane, Burberry Prorsum (via Style.com)
During Fashion week, after New York as always, we reach our next destination; London. Now… where do I start?
Peter Pilotto as always, killing it in the ‘print’ game and should I also say ‘shape’ game. Love this collection and there are so many things I wanted and nothing I didn’t like. Pilotto know how to use many different types of prints, colours, shapes and make it work all the time… somehow. Christopher Kane, I loved how sculptural but wearable his pieces were, a bit edgy with the biker jackets and some feminine silhouettes as always. Oh and those textural skirts, I definitely need to find out what exactly he did over there. Burberry Prorsum, Metallics! When there’s anything Burberry out, I’m looking for their coats/jackets because thats where they never fail.
So what did London say?…
Hard, edgy yet innocent and white biker jackets touched the catwalk in Christopher Kane, Dion Lee and Simone Rocha. Snake skin in both Erdem and Preen. Metallics kept London shining in Burberry Prorsum, Markus Lupfer, Jonathan Saunders, Topshop and Simone Rocha. We had light sheer fabrics with patches of opaque fabrics in Topshop and Christopher Kane. Oh and of course, we had prints, like everywhere!
I’m a few destinations behind, but I’m so excited for the upcoming shows in Paris.
