LET’S TALK: New York ♥

Before Fashion week is completely over,  these are a few of my favourite pieces from the New York collections I liked this S/S 15.

Marc Jacobs was all about the big beading and utility look, If the triple 0′s on the price tags are just a few too many for you at the moment (not for long though), worry not! Zara will have this collection in stores very soon (and no, I do not work for Zara or know anyone who does).Whilst looking through The Row collection, the movie ’Eat, Pray, Love’ came to mind. I would love to own every piece from this collection, move to Bali and just drink Mint green tea. If again you’re saving money for your future, H&M will have your back (Once again I do not work for H&M or know anyone who does)  Delpozo was a whole load of sculptural shapes, sheer fabrics, embroidery and a lot of red carpet worthy pieces. DKNY was a lot of bold prints, some embroidery and baggy items.

The Cut-out shoulder was seen in quite a few designers collections,

Another common trend was the asymmetrical mix of different fabrics, weights and colours, that was used in quite a few ways by different designers.

In general New York was a great mix of things from Boss which was very clean with a lot architectural influences to Derek Lam which had suede patchwork jackets that reminded me of a Mui Mui collection to Thom Browne which was a collection that would have been perfect for London.

Much love
